With constitution day being on September 17th, we pause to reflect on the vast importance of this document. Written over 200 years ago, this document has changed and been added to in order to bring about positive progress. Through the rights of freedom of press, speech, assembly, petition and religion as well as the right to vote, all are important principles contained within the constitution.

article 4 section 1. says that every person should be tried in the state that they commit the crime even if they don't live there. makes it so that you evenly get into trouble anywhere you commit a crime.

The third Amendment also follows the lines of right of privacy in which no member of the military may be quartered inside of any citizens' homes during times of peace without owner's consent, nor in times of war, but in a manner prescribed by law.

These are both important because it sets up the supreme court system and gives congress the power to lay taxes.
